Kincumber Rising Main

The client required a new 500mm rising main be installed using Horizontal Directional Drilling through mountainous terrain made up of a rock formation mainly of sandstone. Previous construction attempts failed to produce a completed pilot bore with boring undertaken from both ends.

Numerous reasons for this were investigated and conclusions made with equipment selection being one of the main issues for failure. Trenchless Advisor was contracted to assess the failed project and find suitable and practical solutions.
