Trenchless Advisor, who are we?

We are a unique consultancy company set up to assist companies involved in the undertaking of Trenchless projects including horizontal directional drilling (HDD), rehabilitation and microtunnelling along with other trenchless techniques. Clients that will benefit from our services include major utility companies along with government authorities, major construction companies and even the contractors.  

As the trenchless industry has only been established in Australia for a relatively short period of time, only minimal information is available to help companies when undertaking a Trenchless project. We have positioned ourselves to assist clients by undertaking concept designs, feasibility studies along with a wide range of other Trenchless services and information. As the amount of Trenchless projects increase more pressure is placed on the client and its personnel to ensure the right information and design is available to the contractor. We also add value to the Trenchless project by assisting the client during the construction period with on-site monitoring and auditing ensuring all their specifications are followed whilst still adhering to all safety, operational procedures and environmental issues.

Our Approach

Since Trenchless Advisors entry into the underground civil construction market it has proven through proper achievable designs, feasibilities and on site monitoring that many issues and potential problems that have occurred in the past are now significantly reduced or eliminated, saving the client money, unwanted disputes and achieving better completion times. We understand the way the directional drilling industry works and through this knowledge we see a major opportunity to help grow and heighten awareness within the trenchless industry. The directional drilling industry is relatively small compared to other more well known construction methods and with most personnel having some sort of knowledge of other contractors, an independent approach is required to understand the day to day trenchless operations taking place. We believe that many day to day problems that arise on horizontal drilling projects are not just contractor problems but can be traced back to its original concept. 

The drilling and installation of the product is only one part of the horizontal drilling project. The correct design, tender specification and running of the project also plays a major part in the projects success. Thats why at Trenchless Advisor we offer a wide range of services to ensure every project is successful and completed safely.

Mission Statement

The trenchless industry is one of mixed professionalism. Many directional drilling companies attempt to supply their clients with the best service available. But is the client receiving value for money and, if so, is it completed safely, and satisfying the client's requirements? We are taking this challenge head on, be it with the horizontal drilling contractor or the utility company/major contractor. In this day and age there are many reasons to use trenchless technology. Special emphasis is now being placed on protecting the environment, minimising disruption to transportation flows/residential movements, and the safety issue of not requiring long open trenchers through residential and industrial area's.  

Having an independent advisor who knows the trenchless industry and its correct working procedures will add value to each and every horizontal drilling project, ensuring the clients expectations are delivered. This also benefits the contractor by allowing them more achievable designs to quote without the possibility of a resign at the contractors expense. This also ensures every directional drilling contractor is adhering to the same requirements and specifications
